Since opening our doors in 2008, we’ve been lucky to grow alongside our team, our purveyors, and our guests—forming not just a restaurant, but a true community. Over the years, we’ve become a mainstay in Winnipeg’s dining scene, and within these walls, we’ve built something even more special: a family.
But we have a confession to make…
When we first welcomed guests on June 21, 2008, we did so with honesty, humility, and a deep passion for great food. Our menu was small, and every ingredient was chosen with care. Of course, we made a few mistakes along the way—one of the most memorable being pistacititos. A simple spelling error on our first menu, we quickly covered it up with a creative explanation: pistacititos were actually Sicilian pistachios. This was, in fact, entirely untrue. To anyone who ever searched for pistacititos at their local grocery store, please accept our sincerest apologies.
Since those early days, our proof-reading skills have improved, and so has our commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients and crafting unforgettable dishes. Our spirit remains rooted in Italian tradition, inspired by the lively energy of Bobby Mottola’s family dinner table—loud, fun, always welcoming, and often a place of discovery. While our menu and space have evolved, our dedication to exceptional food, great company, and genuine hospitality has never changed.
